- a partnership of three towns in Greenbrier County WV.
- Platts Power Magazine May 2004: sponsor of a clean-coal project,
half subsidized by the DOE. The project team consists of Western
Greenbrier Congeneration , Altom Power of Windsor CT, Parsons E&C and
Parsons I&T based in Reading PA, and Hazen Research of Golden CO will
design and build $215 million, 90 MW atmospheric fluidized-bed coal
facility with compact inverted cyclone design with a 40% smaller
frootprint than a conventional boiler of similar capacity, cutting steen
requirments and construction cost by up to 60%.
- West Virginia Development Office: Western Greenbrier Cogeneration
LLC of WV won $107 million for a project to reduce air pollution
through conversion of coal to gas and through multi-pollutant control
systems.
