What's New with EPIS

AURORAxmp Version 9 Released

We are pleased to announce a major new release of AURORAxmp -- Version 9.
Version 9 of AURORAxmp includes an integrated capability to perform Locational Marginal Price (LMP) studies and congestion analysis.

The optional nodal capability is built around an Optimal Power Flow (OPF) solution that can easily solve systems containing thousands of electrical busses, generators, and transmission branches. A Security Constrained OPF is included in the package. This integrated LMP and FTR forecasting capability seamlessly uses the same high productivity features of AURORAxmp in performing LMP studies.

The latest version of AURORAxmp brings many new features and enhancements, including:

  • North American Database Updates
    • Significant updates to Resources input table based on leading industry publications.
    • New AURORA areas and area names.
    • Emission rates now specified by individual resource.

  • AURORAxmp Model Enhancements
    • Even more control over demand shapes.
    • New capability to limit the capacity of a resource held for operating reserves.
    • SQL queries and pivot tables available within AURORAxmp.

EPIS Web Site Redesign

The long-awaited redesign of our web site is complete.  We think you'll find that it functions just as well as our old site, but looks and performs a whole lot better.  Also, some important additional content, such as Tutorials and a Knowledge Base, is on they way.  Please let us know if you have feedback or run into any problems.

AURORAxmp Version 8.1 Introduces 64-bit Capabilities

The latest version of AURORAxmp brings many new features and enhancements, including:

  • AURORAxmp now runs on 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.
  • Even more capabilities using Change Sets.
  • New inputs available for resource variable and fixed costs.
  • SQL Server 2005 Bulk Loader for output -- now the fastest optioin available.
